Frequently Asked Questions
1 What is the difference between MHT-CET & Std. XI / XII exams?
Although the syllabus of the MHT-CET comprises of Std. XI & XII Syllabus, the pattern of the question paper is entirely different vis-à-vis the Std. XI / XII question papers. The Std. XI / XII exam is a subjective type exam, whereas the MHT-CET is an objective type exam. The students get less than a minute per question. Thus accuracy and speed are the two main aspects of the MHT-CET.
2 What is the syllabus of MHT-CET?
The syllabus of MHT-CET is Physics, Chemistry & Maths of Std. XI & XII, with 20% weightage to Std. XI syllabus & 80% weightage to Std. XII syllabus.
3 What is the paper pattern of MHT-CET?
MHT-CET exam is conducted in online mode. It consists of MCQ based questions and the time duration to solve these is 180 minutes. Engineering aspirants are required to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics while Pharmacy aspirants are required to attempt either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
MHT-CET PCM paper will consist of Physics - 50 questions of 1 mark each, Chemistry - 50 questions of 1 mark each and Maths - 50 questions of 2 marks each. MHT-CET PCB paper will consist of Physics - 50 questions of 1 mark each, Chemistry - 50 questions of 1 mark each and Biology - 100 questions of 1 mark each.
This means MHT-CET exam (PCM/PCB) will be of 200 marks and there will be No Negative Marking. Approximately 20% weightage will be given to 11th standard syllabus and 80% to 12th standard syllabus while setting the question paper. Difficulty level of MHT-CET will be at par with JEE Main examination.
5 Which subjects should Engineering aspirants opt for in Std. XI & XII?
We recommend that Engineering aspirants should take Bi-focal subjects (of course along with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English). This will reduce their burden of studying for Biology and the second language.
6 Which subjects should Pharmacy aspirants opt for in Std. XI & XII?
We recommend that Pharmacy aspirants should take IT as a subject (of course along with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology and English). This will reduce their burden of studying for the second language.
7 Which are the most sought after Engineering branches?
All branches are good. It really depends on the child's interest. Over the past few years Computers, IT, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, Electronics & Computer Science, Electronics & Tele-communication and Mechanical have been the preferred choice amongst students.
1 What if students have doubts after the lecture?
Our faculty is available after the lecture to solve the doubts. Also, as a part of our Pedagogy, we have built-in Doubt Solving sessions throughout our program. Our Faculty is very friendly and approachable & shares good rapport with students.
2 What if my child misses the lecture?
