Basic Information about BIT-SAT :-

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, is a deemed University which offers Degree Engineering Courses at its Pilani campus and Goa campus.

From the year 2005, BITS has introduced an Entrance Test viz. 'BITS Admission Test' (BITSAT) for admission to its Degree Engineering Programs


Eligibility for BITSAT :
The aspiring candidate must have passed the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent, with a paper each in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, with adequate proficiency in English. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Std.XII exam, with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics each.
Students who are appearing for Std.XII exam are eligible to appear for BITSAT, subject to their fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in Std.XII exam, as mentioned above.


Pattern of the BIT-SAT :
BITSAT is a 'Computer Based Online Test' held after the Std. XII Board Exam. BITSAT is administered on different dates at different centres all across the country. The aspiring candidates have to choose a centre and reserve a date (any time between April to June) for appearing for the BITSAT Online Test.

BITSAT is a three hours duration objective type exam, comprising of around 150  questions. The BITSAT consist of four parts and its format is as follows :
